Here is the full story of our name:
We were originally called Area 51, because it was on my guitar strap, and we thought it was cool at the time. We then found out that it was already taken, and it didn't really seem that cool anymore. So we changed it to Infliktion. After we parted ways with our old drummer, we decided to try and come up with a new name. Me and Kieran were sitting in History looking at an exam paper and it said 'Cult of Personality'. We thought it was cool, the others thought it was cool, and we even did a survey and most people thought it was cool, so it stuck.

i found this on a web sit it is about it:
Cult of personality or personality cult is a term for what is perceived to be excessive adulation of a single living leader. The term was coined by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev soon after the death of Joseph Stalin, but the phenomenon as such is much older. The lifetime cult of Julius Caesar was deeply resented by patrician republicans; it paved the way for the Imperial family cult of the Roman Empire.
hope it helps

yeah we studied it when we did Stalin in History. Didn't know it was coined after his death though. Makes sense now i think about it actually.
